OSRS flips worth making right now

Free, and no account needed. Each flip starts from the latest Grand Exchange trades. We set the offers and the amount, take off the 2% tax, and leave out flips with old prices, sudden spikes or too few buyers.

Make and Sell

Buy items on the GE, change them in the game, then sell. Profit is after the 2% GE tax and any fee.

How Make and Sell works
  • We picked these from about 15,000 swaps the Wiki lists. Each one made money when we tested it on past prices.
  • Prices come from the last 4 hours of GE trades, so they change all the time. They are today’s numbers, not a promise.
  • Play time uses the Wiki’s time for each action. Some, like decanting, have none, so they count only the 3 minutes for offers and the bank.
  • Every 4 hours we save each swap we list. A day later we test it against the real GE trades since then, after the 2% tax. If none of its buys would have filled, we leave it out. These are tests, not trades players made.

How this OSRS flipping tool works

Flipping means buying an item on the Grand Exchange and selling it for more. The Market starts from the OSRS Wiki’s live trades and about 30 hours of 5-minute trade history we save ourselves. From those it sets its own offers, works out how many to buy, leaves out risky flips and ranks the rest by the profit you can expect after the 2% GE tax. It updates about every 5 minutes. It’s free, and you don’t need an account.

Know what to expect.

Chance is how often trades like this one made money within 4 hours. It comes from 29,656 past suggestions, tested against the trades that came next.

Prices with a purpose.

Offers are the buy and sell prices to enter. Each starts from the Wiki’s latest trades and sits a little inside them so it fills: closer for busy, steady items, wider for jumpy ones.

What’s left after tax.

Profit per item is what one sale leaves after the 2% GE tax. Expected profit is the total for the whole Quantity, allowing for offers that don’t fully fill. “If it all sells” is the total when every item sells.

A size that makes sense.

Quantity is how many to buy. It stays within the GE limit and what’s really selling at that price, and never goes over 3M GP in one item. Quiet items get smaller amounts.

Illustrative examples. Expected profit, Chance and offers are estimates, not guaranteed fills or returns.

Flipping questions

Help & Status

Getting started

How do I start flipping in OSRS?

Pick a flip near the top of the list. Put in a buy offer at the lower price in the Offers column, for the Quantity shown. When it fills, put in a sell offer at the higher price. What’s left after the 2% tax is your profit.

You don’t need to stand at the Grand Exchange. Put your offers in and keep playing. Prices move, so check them in game before you buy.

How much GP can I make flipping?

It depends most on the size of your bank. We tested Trader on a month of real prices we hadn’t used to build it. On average, 4 hours of its picks made about 229K GP with 10M, and about 270K with 50M or 200M.

Even with perfect hindsight and offers that closed after 4 hours, 10M made only about 400K–540K every 4 hours. The 2% tax is the main reason big sessions stopped paying. Results change with the market, and trades can lose GP.

How much GP do I need to start?

There’s no minimum. The Market never puts more than 3M GP into one item, so a few million is enough for several flips. With a smaller bank, pick cheaper items or buy fewer than the Quantity shown.

Can I flip on a free-to-play account?

Yes. Sign in, open Settings from your account menu and turn on Free-to-play items only. The Market then shows only items free-to-play players can trade. On the Items page, the F2P only filter works without an account. There are fewer free-to-play items, so expect fewer flips.

Is this flipping tool free?

Yes. The Market, search and Favorites are free, with no ads, and you don’t need to sign in. Favorites stay in your browser until you sign in, then they follow your account.

While you trade

How long should I leave my offers up?

Give them a few hours. Chance shows how often trades like this made money within 4 hours, so that’s a fair wait. Busy items often fill in minutes; quiet ones take longer. If a buy still hasn’t filled, open the item’s page and check today’s prices before you change it. Give a sale more time. Trader leaves a sale at its price for 8 hours before it suggests a lower one, because waiting made more in our tests.

What if the price drops after I buy?

It happens, and trades can lose GP. Open the item’s page to see today’s prices. If you can still sell for more than you paid plus tax, keep your sell offer up. If not, give it time. In our tests, waiting made more than cutting the price early. Trader’s rule: A sale keeps its price for 8 hours. After that, Trader won’t lower it below break-even. A sale already at break-even or lower can follow the market down, and Trader shows what you’d lose first. If it still doesn’t sell, you can take less to get your GP back.

If a buy fills the moment you place it, the price may be falling. Check the item before you buy more.

Why did an item leave the list?

The list updates about every 5 minutes. An item leaves when today’s prices no longer leave enough profit after tax, when trading slows down, or when its price jumps without enough sales to back it up. You can still finish a trade you started: search for the item to see today’s prices and why it isn’t suggested.

What if lots of players flip the same item?

Quantity stays small next to real trading: no more than 10% of what players bought at your sell price or higher in the last 4 hours. Prices update about every 5 minutes, so when a gap closes, the item drops off the list. Each item’s page also shows how our past suggestions for it really did, losing flips included.

How does the GE tax work?

The Grand Exchange keeps 2% of the sell price, up to 5M GP per item. Only the seller pays it. Items that sell for less than 50 GP are not taxed. Some low-level items, such as Mind runes, bronze arrows and some teleport tablets, are never taxed, and bonds pay a fee to become tradeable instead. The tax has been 2% since May 29, 2025, up from 1%. Every profit on this page already takes the tax off.

When does the GE buy limit reset?

Four hours after your first buy of that item. Each item has its own limit, and the Quantity column already stays within it.

About Gielinor Gains

Where do the suggestions come from?

From the OSRS Wiki’s live Grand Exchange trades, which come from RuneLite players, and about 30 hours of 5-minute trade history we save ourselves. The Market sets its own offers from them, works out a quantity, Chance and expected profit, and leaves out items with old prices, sudden spikes or too few buyers. The same rules apply to every item.

We test our suggestions against the trades that happened next, and each item’s page shows its track record. Before we change how suggestions work, we test the change on weeks of real prices.

Is flipping allowed, and is my account safe?

Yes. Flipping is ordinary Grand Exchange trading. Gielinor Gains never asks for your password or bank PIN, never logs in to your account and never plays for you. You place every offer yourself.

What is Trader?

Trader is the paid way to flip with help. It picks trades for your budget, shows the item, quantity and price for your next offer, and follows your offers through RuneLite. Dump Alerts are included.
