Help & support

Let’s get it sorted.

Have a question about your account, or something that isn’t working?

Using Trader

How do I connect RuneLite?

Open Trader in desktop Chrome or Edge on the computer where you play. Install Exchange Logger from RuneLite’s Plugin Hub, then set Log Format to JSON, One File to Off, and Split By Account to On. Open the Grand Exchange in game.

Choose your RuneLite folder once. Trader reads the trade saves and the matching log from that folder. Exchange Logger is an independent plugin; Trader is a website, and you place every offer yourself.

Why haven’t my offers updated?

Keep Trader visible beside RuneLite. With Exchange Logger connected, Trader checks its log every 3 seconds. An offer change appears after the plugin records it. Without the logger, RuneLite’s regular saves usually arrive about every 5 minutes.

Open Connection in Trader to check the selected account and folder access. Refreshing market prices does not refresh your game’s saved offers. If you imported a single save, import a newer one to update it.

Can I choose my own items?

Yes. Select Choose items when you start, or Edit plan while trading. Search, Favorites, and categories help you build your own plan. You can also add an item with the + button on the market.

Choose Fill remaining slots to combine your picks with suggestions for your remaining budget. You can use manual tracking without connecting RuneLite; you’ll confirm your own progress in Trader.

Can I use Trader on my phone?

You can browse the market and build a plan on mobile. Automatic offer tracking needs RuneLite on a computer; RuneLite isn’t available on iPhone, iPad, or Android.

If you connect on desktop and enable “Show my trades on my other devices,” you can view a saved trade snapshot on your phone. It isn’t a live connection to the mobile game.

Is Trader a good fit for free-to-play?

The F2P filter in Preferences applies to Trader too: free-to-play items and 3 exchange slots. Fewer tradable items mean fewer opportunities.

If you only play free-to-play, we recommend the free market instead of paying for Trader or Dump Alerts. Existing access still works with the F2P filter enabled.
