This update covered three things: more polished Dump Alerts emails, an annual pricing adjustment, and a shift toward posting bigger product updates directly in Platform Updates.
Dump Alerts had been working in a much healthier state since the November 12 update, so this pass was about presentation, pricing clarity, and communication.
What changed
- Dump Alerts emails got a polish pass so dark mode and light mode behave better across email clients.
- Annual Dump Alerts pricing moved from $27 to $24.99 at the time of this update.
- The annual plan added included Planner access and a 7-day free trial.
- I noted that users who paid the previous $27 annual price would be handled so they matched the lower annual price and got Planner included.
Communication going forward
I also wanted Platform Updates to become the main place for larger release notes. Reddit can be useful, but it is not always the best place to explain product decisions clearly.
The goal is simple: keep users informed, keep the tone direct, and keep improving Gielinor Gains around the people actually using it.
