I pushed a major rebuild of the Dumps feature. The direction is good: better detection, fresher prices, and more realistic profit filtering.
I also need to be direct about the state of this release: some UI pieces were still acting inconsistently when this post went out.
What improved
- Dump tracking moved to real-time client-side polling instead of relying on stale backend recovery state.
- Dump prices now refresh from the OSRS Wiki latest-price feed while cards are being tracked.
- The detection algorithm was refined to catch more legitimate dumps while filtering more noise.
- Profit filtering moved toward evidence-based thresholds from historical dump analysis.
What was still rough
- Some dump cards were appearing and disappearing inconsistently in Planner.
- Some cards were rendering without profit calculations.
- Some detected dumps were not making it into email alerts.
The plan
Those were integration issues between the new tracking system and the existing UI, not a reason to throw out the detection work.
At the time, I committed to getting the rough edges resolved by Friday, November 14th. The detection was working; the job was to wire the state handling and display logic together cleanly.
