What’s a Rebound?
Dump Alerts email you when an item’s price suddenly crashes on the Grand Exchange. That’s called a dump. Most dumps bounce back within minutes, too fast to act on. So by the time you read a plain Dump Alert, the price has often already recovered.
A Rebound is a special kind of Dump Alert. It’s for a dump that our tests found tends to recover slowly, over a day or two. That slow recovery gives you time to trade.
So each Rebound email comes with a plan. Put in a buy offer at the price in the email, and leave it up for a day. Then sell at the price the item had before the dump. Do it within 2 days of the email.
What’s new
The Rebound Record is a new page. It shows how every Rebound we’ve sent turned out, wins and misses. Every Rebound email links to it.
How they’ve done so far
We don’t make these trades ourselves. Instead, we work out how each plan would have turned out, using what really sold on the Grand Exchange. We’ve done that for 44 Rebounds so far.
If you had followed all 44, you’d have made money overall: about 12 GP for every 100 GP spent.
But fewer of them worked out than our emails say:
- Our emails say about 8 in 10 buy offers buy something. So far, about 3 in 4 have.
- Our emails say more than 8 in 10 offers that buy go on to make money. So far, about 3 in 4 have.
44 is still too few to be sure that gap is real. We’ll look again once 60 Rebounds are done. If the gap is still there and too big to be luck, we’ll change the emails to show the real results.
Worked out on 28 October 2026 for 44 Rebounds, emailed from 12 to 26 October. We assumed the buy offer went in an hour after the email. We assumed you got no more than 1 in 4 of the items other players sold at your buy price. Results are after the 2% tax.
33 of the 44 buy offers bought at least some items within a day (75%). Of those 33, 25 made money (76%).
Together they made 1,667,079 GP on 14,182,457 GP of buys. That is 11.8 GP for every 100 GP spent.
